Armenia to host Concours Mondial de Bruxelles wine competition in 2026

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Director of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, Zaruhi Muradyan, participated in Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2025 (CMB 2025) held in Yinchuan, China, during which Armenia has been officially announced the next host country of the event.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is the largest international platform, where more than 370 professional judges from different countries taste around 7,500 red and white wines from 49 countries.

In recent years, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, France, Croatia, and Mexico have hosted the competition.

Gevorg Papoyan noted that the wine industry in Armenia is experiencing a revival, and Armenian wine specialists combine tradition and innovation.

“The wine industry is a priority direction of the Armenian economy, and the government attaches great importance to increasing international interest in this sector, attracting investments and developing infrastructure. Holding Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Armenia is a vital step towards showing our country’s wine culture, history and potential to the international community,” the Minister of Economy said.
