In 2024, wine production in Armenia decreased by 29%.
Zaruhi Muradyan, director of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, said in an interview with GastroVino, that the drop was due to winemakers not bottling a portion of their production. The decision stemmed from reduced demand, which in turn was caused by a decline in tourist flows to Armenia.
