Zaruhi Muradyan, Executive Director of Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, said that “the winemaking sector, recognized by the Armenian government as a priority branch of the economy, is experiencing a renaissance, attracting more investments year by year.”
Speaking at the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) in the Italian city of Brescia, Zaruhi Muradyan said:
“Inspired by thousand-year-old winemaking traditions and strengthening them with modern technologies and scientific potential, today we produce wines that meet international standards. While the volume of Armenian wine production may seem small at first glance, as a resurgent sector, we hold a favorable position, particularly given the competitive quality of our wines.”
