ARARAT in 2021 – 10 episodes

The year of 2021 was full of events for Yerevan Brandy Company. GastroVino has singled out some of them.

1.    New bottles and packaging 

On February 1, Yerevan Brandy Company officially presented the new bottles and packaging.

The bottom parts of ARARAT 3* and ARARAT 5* bottles are inlayed with Ararat mountain. This admirable symbol of revival and new life also holds the focal point on almost all the new labels.

The bottom part of ARARAT premium brandies is decorated with engraved glass arches, which symbolize the rarest spirits kept in the treasury of Yerevan Brandy Company.

2.    Ararat Coffee

In early March, Yerevan Brandy Company announced the release of a new ARARAT Coffee.

In May, ARARAT Coffee presented itself to the people of Yerevan within the framework of a beautiful event.

“Inspired with the traditions of the world, where a cup of coffee enriches the moments of the Heart to Heart get-togethers, ARARAT Coffee reveals new facet of this charming ritual and brings to it a piece of Armenian warmth,” Sergey Khachatryan, Yerevan Brandy Company Chief Operating Officer, said at the event.


3.    ARARAT Independence 30

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence, Yerevan Brandy Company released a limited edition ARARAT Independence 30, which consists of three different blends.

4.    Restoration of Armenian Heritage of Hermitage

In June, it was announced that Pernod Ricard Rouss and ARARAT would assist in the restoration of the Armenian heritage of the St. Petersburg Hermitage. The restoration of the medieval art collection of Armenia, which includes more than 1,500 exhibits, will take 3 years.

5.    ARARAT Museum opens in Moscow

In October, it became known that ARARAT Armenian Brandy Museum opened in the “Armenia” pavilion of the Moscow Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy.

6.    “Ani” receives gold medal in London

In May ANI 7 years brandy won a gold medal at The Brandy Masters International Competition, organized by The Spirits Business magazine.

ARARAT Ani 7 years brandy is a new blend.

7.    “Ani” receives  gold at  Bartender Spirits Awards Competition

The success of Ani brandy continued in June as well. In San Francisco’s Bartender Spirits Awards ARARAT “Ani” 7 years old received a gold medal from a panel of high-profile bartenders and beverage directors.


8.    Nairi’s victory at The Spirits Business Design & Packaging Masters Competition

Yerevan Brandy Company with its ARARAT brand had its first-ever submission, and being one of the pioneering brands in the history of the competition, won the Master medal - an award of highest appreciation․

9.    Nairi wins gold medal in Tokyo

In summer Nairi brandy was awarded the gold medal and “Category Winner” title at Tokyo Whiskey & Spirits Competition.

10.    Nairi wins gold medal in London

In April Nairi brandy won a gold medal at London Spirits Competition. The competition hosted the spirits from countries with great spirit traditions, and among them were Spain, Italy, France, Ireland, UK, USA.

ARARAT Dvin, Akhtamar as well as ARARAT Coffee & ARARAT Apricot won silver awards of the competition.
