Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC) completed the initiative launched in summer 2021 of installing water saving valves on drinking fountains across Yerevan.

The study showed that each water saving valves on drinking fountains may reduce the water consumption by 10 times, and in case of 250 drinking fountains the total monthly water saving will make 23 million liters.

Based on the study results, Yerevan Brandy Company made a decision to install water saving valves on several hundreds of drinking fountains which come into action by a special button.

Care and responsibility towards the environment are one of the important values to which the “Pernod Ricard” company follows since its foundation.

Topical issues of careful attitude towards the World Ocean were reflected in the various activities implemented by the Oceanographic Institute established back in 1966 by the founder of “Pernod Ricard” – Paul Ricard. In this sense, the Yerevan project has become symbolic on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Institute. Drinking fountains with water saving valves are located in different districts of Yerevan. The valves were not installed on the fountains with cultural value.
