On October 9, the Awards Ceremony of the Golden Apricot Film Festival took place in the ARARAT Museum of the Yerevan Brandy Company.

In the Museum the guests had an opportunity to get familiarized with the heritage of Armenian brandy, discovered the modern facets of the legendary brandy.
Within the framework of the ceremony Alexander Khant’s film “Under One Sky” shot recently at the initiative of ARARAT was shown.

“Mastery, sincerity and passion towards the work - these words which wrap up the values of ARARAT brandy, I believe, are the creative secret of each great film. In this sense, our cooperation with the Golden Apricot film festival is first of all anchored on the bases of common values. I am sure, that this format will create a basis for another good tradition,” said Serge Khachatryan, the Chief Operating Officer of Yerevan Brandy Company.

“Cinema, as art, rediscovers its meaning when it interacts with people. The same can be said about brandy, when becoming a part of our sincere contacts, it forms and reinterprets a huge store of traditions. Hence, both cinema and brandy strive to achieve a priority that will make them a mediator for conveying ideas and concepts. Both ARARAT and Golden Apricot, having an institutional system of values, strive not only to develop Armenian culture, but also make it worthy of international recognition,” said Karen Avetisyan, the Artistic Director of the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival.

In different years, the ARARAT Museum has supported the Odessa Film Festival, as well as organized various events with the participation of famous filmmakers, including George Clooney, John Malkovich, Nastassja Kinski, Emir Kusturica, Ornella Muti, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, , Alexei German Jr. and others.
