Wines of Armenia NGO is inviting members

The Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) present the Wines of Armenia NGO.

The new organization is to unite winemakers who are interested in development and proper representation of the wine industry, and protection of its interests.

Wines of Armenia aims to ensure proper quality of wines produced by the members, develop and operate mechanisms for quality wine control, establish a common quality assessment system, as well as form and promote a common trademark (label) certifying the quality of the wine produced by the NGO members, and implement other actions within legal framework.

The Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia has stated that membership in the new NGO is accessible for any legal entity and any registered individual entrepreneur if they have been engaged in winemaking for at least a year and produced at least 5,000 bottles of wine a year, and if they accept the goals set by the NGO’s regulations and want to participate in its activities.

Wines of Armenia NGO has also set a fixed annual membership fee of AMD 100,000 and an additional membership fee of AND 3 for each liter of wine produced the previous year.
